What does Coaching do?
Basically, coaching is a way how to define goals and find solutions to get there. Both the definition as well as the draft of solutions is up to the person who is coached (coachee). As a coach, my part is to design the process around my coachee’s needs, asking the right question, finding the most suitable method
When do I need coaching?
The only person to decide if you need coaching is you! Mostly, people come if they feel burdened with something and trying alone did not lead to the desired outcome. Usually, it’s the moment that all else has failed and none of the possibilities within the regular perspectives worked so they need a fresh view on things.
My Coaching Approach
I have done my coaching education in systemic transactional analysis which means that it combined two approaches which I would like to quickly sketch out to the extend so that you can understand how I go about coaching:
Systemic Coaching
Systemic Coaching is based on a systemic world view. This means that I assume that people are a system and live within systems that influence their reality. Thus, I work based on the assumption that everyone is capable of solving their own problems and I see myself as the guide on the journey.
Transactional Analysis
TA is a way of understanding human behavior based on ego states a person can be in: Parent, Child, Adult (for explanations please see my blog post on the topic – coming soon)
Both of them provide methods to approach coaching in multiple ways. My aim is to find the approach that suits best to your needs. Thus, I will invite you during coaching to try out some methods and you can choose for yourself if you’d like to do it or not. There is nothing that you have to do when working with me.

I am reading books on coaching, personal development and many related aspects constantly. In my blog, I will provide the occasional book review, relate personal stories to topics that I coach on or give courses for, and provide additional resources I think might be interesting to you.
